Project Summary
Persium deployed automated Heat Index and air quality monitoring stations across multiple locations in Qatar, providing continuous, real-time data on particulate matter, Heat Index, temperature, humidity, and environmental conditions.
Each site streams live data directly into Persium MapView, enabling geospatial visualisation, trend analysis, configurable alerts, downloadable reporting, and secure API access.
The Challenge
Qatar's climate creates genuine physiological risk for outdoor workers and communities, particularly during summer months when temperature and humidity combine to produce dangerous heat stress conditions.
Monitoring temperature alone is insufficient. Without continuous WBGT and Heat Index data at site level, it is difficult to identify unsafe conditions in real time, adjust operations proactively, or demonstrate that appropriate measures were taken to protect people during extreme heat events.

Persium Pods are deployed across multiple sites in Qatar, fully automated and connected, streaming environmental data continuously into the Persium platform.
