Designed for continuous outdoor deployment across real-world environments.

Is Persium right for us?

We already have an air quality monitoring system. Why would we need Persium?

Most legacy systems measure at fixed reference stations, a handful of points across a large area. Persium fills the gaps: miniaturised sensors that attach to vehicles, buildings, or street furniture to capture hyper-local variation that reference stations never see. If your existing data shows city-wide averages but not what's happening on a specific street or inside a specific building, Persium is additive, not duplicative.

How does Persium compare to low-cost consumer sensors?

Consumer sensors are designed for personal curiosity, not operational decisions. They typically measure one or two parameters, have no calibration programme, and provide no certified data trail. Persium's Pod measures 31 parameters and its Pill measures 21, both with continuous quality assurance. If your data will be used to justify investment, inform policy, or meet a regulatory standard, it needs to meet a different bar.

Do you deploy worldwide?

Yes. Persium has deployed in the Gulf (including Dubai Airports), across Europe, and in other international contexts. Sensor calibration is adapted for local atmospheric conditions, and the platform supports the regulatory frameworks relevant to each region.

What kinds of organisations work with Persium?

Local authorities, transport operators, airports, port authorities, real estate developers, and built environment consultancies. The common thread is a need to make infrastructure or policy decisions that depend on accurate, real-time environmental data, not estimates.

Procurement & commercial

Can we run a small deployment before committing to something larger?

Yes. We regularly work with new partners who want to validate the approach in a defined area before scaling. This lets you see real data from your environment and understand what the platform can do before making a broader commitment.

What's included in a deployment, is it hardware only, or software too?

Both. Persium provides the sensors, the cloud platform, the data visualisation dashboard, and ongoing technical support. You're not buying hardware and then sourcing software separately. Everything is designed to work together.

What does ongoing support look like?

Persium handles sensor maintenance, calibration, firmware updates, and platform support as part of the service. You're not managing hardware, you're managing what the data tells you.

Do you work through procurement frameworks?

We have experience working within public sector procurement processes. If you're bound by specific framework requirements, get in touch and we'll work through the options with you.

How long does it take from contract to live data?

For a standard deployment, expect a few weeks from agreement to installation, depending on site access and configuration requirements. Complex or multi-site deployments take longer. We'll give you a realistic timeline at the scoping stage.

Data, compliance & reporting

Who owns the data we collect?

You do. Data collected through your Persium deployment belongs to your organisation. Persium does not sell or share your data with third parties. You control who has access and how it's used.

Can Persium data be used in regulatory submissions or official reports?

Persium data has been used to inform policy discussions, planning applications, and regulatory monitoring programmes. Whether it meets the specific evidential standard for a particular submission depends on the regulatory body and the use case. We're happy to discuss what's needed for your context and whether our data quality documentation supports it.

Does the platform integrate with our existing systems?

Yes. The Persium platform is built with open APIs, so data can feed into your existing dashboards, GIS tools, or reporting systems. We're experienced in integrating with third-party platforms and can advise on the specifics of your setup.

Can we share air quality data publicly?

Yes, if you choose to. Several Persium partners use the data to power public-facing dashboards or transparency reporting. This is entirely your decision, the platform supports both private and public data sharing configurations.

How does Persium handle data quality and calibration?

Sensors are calibrated before deployment and monitored continuously. Persium uses a combination of reference-grade colocation and automated quality assurance algorithms to flag anomalies. Data is timestamped and traceable, which is important when the data is being used for decisions rather than just awareness.

Does Persium help with ESG or sustainability reporting?

Yes. Organisations using Persium have incorporated air quality data into ESG frameworks and sustainability disclosures. We can help you understand how the data maps to specific reporting standards relevant to your sector.

Specific environments

Can Persium operate in extreme heat or desert conditions?

Yes. Persium sensors are built for outdoor deployment across a range of climates, including high-temperature environments. Calibration accounts for local atmospheric conditions, and the platform has been deployed in the Gulf region where heat and particulate profiles differ significantly from temperate climates.

We're pursuing LEED or WELL certification. Can Persium data support that?

Persium monitors many of the indoor environmental quality parameters relevant to LEED and WELL, including particulate matter, CO₂, VOCs, temperature, and humidity. We can advise on how our data maps to specific certification requirements, though formal certification decisions rest with the relevant accreditation body.

We operate port or logistics sites with complex pollution sources. Can Persium handle that?

Yes. Ports and logistics environments involve a mix of vehicle exhaust, cargo handling, and shipping emissions that create layered pollution patterns. Persium's sensor density and mobility, including vehicle-mounted deployments — make it well-suited to mapping those sources accurately.

Does Persium measure WBGT or heat stress indicators?

The Persium Pod measures temperature, humidity, and related parameters that feed into heat stress calculations. Whether WBGT specifically is available in your configuration is worth confirming at the scoping stage, as it depends on deployment type and location.
