Persium was born from a shared conviction: that you cannot manage what you cannot measure. Combining expertise in environmental science and advanced IoT engineering, Ali, Alex and Cameron founded Persium to bridge the gap between high-cost monitoring and the need for hyperlocal, actionable intelligence.
Together, they have led Persium from a London-based startup to a global leader in environmental sensors, data and solutions. Their vision remains unchanged: to provide the transparency and high-resolution tools required to build a more breathable future for cities worldwide.

OUR STORY
It started with a pollution day.
In 2018, during a holiday, Ali and Alex experienced their first pollution day, when dangerous air quality forced schools, government buildings, and much of a city to close.
That moment inspired Persium and a commitment to understand pollution more clearly. Eight iterations of the Persium Pod later, we are still guided by the same principle: stay focused on the problem, listen to the people affected and keep improving the solution.
