Designed for continuous outdoor deployment across real-world environments.

Project Summary

Persium has deployed environmental monitoring technology across The Ellinikon in Greece, a development that represents one of the most ambitious urban regeneration projects in Europe.

As construction and infrastructure activity scales across the site, Persium Pods provide continuous, real-time data on air quality, heat stress, and atmospheric conditions, giving project teams, environmental managers, and compliance leads a live, connected view of environmental conditions across the entire development.

The Challenge

The Ellinikon is not a single site. It is a city within a city, with multiple concurrent construction workstreams, public-facing spaces, and long-term sustainability commitments operating simultaneously.

Environmental monitoring at this scale requires more than periodic sampling or isolated spot checks. It requires continuous, site-wide visibility that can track how conditions change across different zones, different activities, and different times of day,and generate the evidence needed for compliance, worker safety, and ESG reporting.

Persium Deployment

Monitoring through Dashboard & MapView

All data streams directly into Persium Dashboard and MapView, providing a live, geospatial view of environmental conditions across the site as they are measured.

Through MapView, project teams can:

  • Monitor air quality and environmental conditions in real time across the development

  • Analyse trends across locations, zones, and time periods

  • Configure threshold alerts for immediate operational response

  • Generate compliance and ESG reports

  • Visualise how conditions vary by location across the site

  • Environmental data becomes operational intelligence, not a separate compliance exercise.

Persium Pods are deployed across The Ellinikon for continuous outdoor environmental monitoring, designed for reliable, high-resolution performance across large, complex development environments.

Air quality parameters monitored:

Nitrogen Dioxide (NO₂), Nitric Oxide (NO), NOx

Ozone (O₃)

Sulphur Dioxide (SO₂)

Carbon Monoxide (CO)

Carbon Dioxide (CO₂)

Particulate Matter PM1, PM2.5, and PM10

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)

Atmospheric and environmental parameters monitored:

Temperature, Humidity, and Pressure

Dew Point and Wind Chill

Heat Index and Thermal Work Limit

Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT)

Solar Irradiance

Wind Speed and Wind Direction

Noise and Max Noise

What This Enables

From worker heat stress management using WBGT and Thermal Work Limit data, to air quality oversight across active construction zones and public-facing spaces, every parameter feeds into a single connected platform. Persium provides the environmental monitoring infrastructure to match the scale and complexity of The Ellinikon's development ambitions.

Continuous, site-wide visibility that supports worker protection, regulatory compliance, and the sustainability commitments at the heart of one of Europe's most significant urban development projects.
